Abstract	Collection guide for Strawbridge & Clothier. The collection is comprised of 46 linear feet of records dating from 1793-1993. This archive is organized into eight series: Series I, Corporate Records; Series II, Management Records; Series III, Financial Records; Series IV, Legal Records; Series V, Real Estate Records; Series VI, Branch Stores Records; Series VII, Personnel Records; Series VIII, Advertising and Public Relations Records. The archive is incomplete, particularly for the Management Records, of which there is only one half linear foot of materials. The other areas in which small amounts of material exist are merchandise, sales, and foreign buying.
